Violaceous Turaco

About Violaceous Turaco

The Violaceous Turaco (Musophaga violacea) is a shy bird. They are social birds travelling in flocks of around 10 to 12 individuals. They are not strong fliers, but can run quickly through the branches. Co-operative breeding behaviour has been observed in this species.
