The 2023 Avicultural Society of Australia Inc. Convention was hosted by The Goulburn Valley Branch at Shepparton from April 28th to 30th, with the theme “Aviculture, Moving Forward”. Amongst the distinguished speakers “not just from all around Australia, but from all over the world” was Dr Debashis Banerjee, Founder-Director of Sunshine BirdWorld Avian Breeding And Research Centre. He spoke on the following two topics : “Pionites Parrots : The Art & Science of Captive Management and Breeding” on 28/4/23 And “Aviculture@Sunshine BirdWorld” on 30/4/23.

Sunshine International Avian Convention (SIAC) was held over two days at Rabindra Tirtha Auditorium, Kolkata, India. It was a pioneering and epoch making Avian Event of Eastern India. Aviculturists, avian conservationists, breeders, scientists and specialist avian veterinarians from all over India attended the Convention. Four renowned Indian and three eminent international speakers shared their knowledge and experience with the delegates attending the Convention. The concept for the AVES International Parrot Convention is to promote and improve aviculture, particularly the keeping and breeding of Psittacines. Speakers are chosen from around the planet for their expertise in Aviculture, and AVES has had representation from no less than 17different countries in the past.
