About Scarlet Macaw

The Scarlet Macaw (Ara macao) is a large red, yellow, and blue Central and South American parrot, a member of a large group of Neotropical parrots called macaws. It is native to humid evergreen forests of tropical Central and South America. Widely regarded by bird lovers as the most beautiful parrot, scarlet macaws are among the most colorful. They have large solid swatches of red, blue, and yellow feathers. This flashy, gutsy bird is full of energy and has a big personality. Scarlet macaws are intelligent birds with an abundance of energy and character.
