About Gouldian Finch

The Gouldian Finch (Chloebia gouldiae) is also known as the Lady Gouldian Finch or the Rainbow Finch. This small bird comes in a variety of striking, vibrant colours. In 1841, English ornithologist, John Gould, named these impressive little birds after his late wife, Lady Elizabeth Gould, and decreed them the most beautiful finch in the world.
