The Crimson Bellied Conure (Pyrrhura perlata) prefers dense vegetation specifically within the forests of the Amazon basin and in the edges of humid lowland forest that has easy access to bodies of water. Accelerating deforestation in its range is reducing the numbers of this beautiful bird.
