Chattering Lory

About Chattering Lory

The Chattering Lory (Lorius garrulus) occurs most commonly in montane forest. It is a canopy species, typically nesting in holes of very tall trees. This spectacular red parrot with forest-green wings is undergoing a rapid population decline as a result of habitat loss and trade exploitation.
