The Black Necked Aracari (Pteroglossus aracari) has a large bill compared to its body, like a Toucan. Aracaris live in holes or hollows high in trees. These birds are commonly seen on fruiting trees in forested habitats, in typically small noisy groups, along with other Aracari and Toucan species. They live in flocks of 8 to 10 individuals. The nesting site consists of one or several nest holes and a pair moves to a new nesting hole if disturbed.
